Orangebox Campers and Dens - Awnings

This innovative range of breakout furniture from Orangebox was launched late November 2020 and Think Furniture are be pleased to update you on this very soon.

Campers and Dens will feature clever use of storage, adaptable spaces and innovative ways to create your own zones.

The main elements of the Campers & Dens range from Orangebox are the pods - these are the basis upon which the other elements are added, such as awnings, kinks & hacking.

Awnings - Layers of privacy outside of the pod start with the awnings. They create the lightest touch intuitive privacy, a physical “soft visual cue” to communicate to others that a discussion is taking place requiring permission to join. Taking inspiration from the classic Volkswagen Camper Van, the designer of Campers & Dens, Mark Partridge has designed the awnings to mimic the way that the Camper Van's awning looks and feels.

As touched on above, the awnings provide a semi-enclosed meeting / talking area whilst maintaining an open plan aesthetic and without the harshness of dividing up the room that they are in.

The Campers & Dens awnings are available using various covering methods, these include; various fabric options & colours / a looped cotton cord / plywood slats / polyester felt slats.

• 2 awning sizes available;
• AW01 dimensions - W2225 x D2256 x H2276mm (For use with Campers & Dens pods CD01 & CD02)
• AW02 dimensions - W2900 x D2256 x H2276mm (For use with Campers & Dens pod CD05)
• The CD01, CD02 & CD05 Campers & Dens pods each feature different awning mounting options
• Various fabric ranges and colours available
• Available using various covering methods, including; various fabric options / a looped cotton cord / plywood slats / polyester felt slats
• Oak legs as standard
• Can be specified in single or split finish; 'single' where the whole awning is covered in one finish, 'split' where the top and sides are covered in two different finishes
• Minimum recommended ceiling height for installation: 2550mm
