Purism is no more Technology is omnipresent in our working environment. We take handling PCs, mobiles or PDAs for granted and can no longer imagine our everyday working life without them.We have accepted that such impersonal functionality makes for a rather homogenous and bleak environment. It is therefore easy to understand why there is a growing desire for something to offset the feeling modern office architecture gives us of being driven by technology. And it is precisely these conflicting priorities that are addressed by Wiesner-Hager’s new office range, veron.

Creating: emotion instead of cool objectivity veron resists the cool, puristic design of the nineties with the emotional perspective of the seventies, a creation of the Swiss designers greutmann/bolzern. The design is modern and without frills, the lines are softer and rounder than usual. Metal surfaces have been deliberately reduced to make room for more domestic colours and materials and that contrast strongly with an office environment burdened with technology and promote well-being in the workplace. Typical examples are the modesty panel and the unmistakeable privacy screen above table level. The privacy screen not only emphasises the comfortable and homely character of the workstation, it is also packed with functionality, such as housing attachable modules for flat screens, letter trays, pencil holders or filing systems. All these details interact to produce a more emotional office environment, which keeps these technical aspects firmly in their place – as functions, not the focus for design.

Applications: highly versatile
Thanks to veron’s exceptional adaptability, this table range is an all-rounder, suitable for many different office layouts: in single,
double or team offices, for fixed or non-territorial workstations.
