Thoughtful Design and Sustainability Firsthand at Flokk

A few weeks ago, the Think Furniture team found themselves back in London, this time at Flokk’s showroom. After our weekly catch up, we had the opportunity to go around and I was struck by how carefully curated their space was. It felt less like a display but more like thought out micro environments.

As I moved from one setup to the next, I began noticing details I might normally overlook. The HÅG Celi 9200 Wood chair, for example, appeared at first to be a simple conference chair, but the moment I sat in it, the ergonomic design and fine craftsmanship became clear. It’s a perfect example of how comfort and thoughtful design can be built into something that, at first glance, seems ordinary. 

The Connection ONE hexagon modular system for co-working spaces was another highlight—its flexibility and modularity make it easy to imagine how it could adapt to different teams, projects, and ways of working.

One setup that I could easily picture in my own space featured the Connection Leo three-seater sofa, minimalist yet warm, complemented by the sleek black Connection Paulo coffee table and armchair all radiating understated elegance.

I was genuinely surprised by the Connection Kuppel open pod by how it manages to create a private, focused environment despite being an open structure. Perfect for private but not fully secluded work sessions.

Flokk has always focused on sustainability and if there was a piece which would show their commitment, it would be the Offecct Soundsticks. Made out of upcycled material leftover from Offecct's furniture production, moulded into the shape of a tube that is held together in the ends by recycled aluminium caps, it truly is the finest example of clever design while keeping the environment in mind.
