  A brand new chair with soft clean lines that embodies the philosophy of Barber Osgbery Design to have a chair that allows for a small degree of movement (Who can forget the Tip Ton?)

  Being human centric does not mean the design or sustainability story has been compromised.

  Mikado is offered with a range of different leg forms , from wooden to metal ( in a choice of finishes) The Vitrta Mikado is also offered as both a Side chair or Armchair version for greater comfort.

  Vitra Mikado chair also features a high content of recycled materials.  From its individual components (covers included) the Mikado chair is easily repaired or replaced by furniture installers thereby extending the chair’s lifespan.

  The clever design follows the sustainability story to its conclusion when at the end of Mikado’s service life, all the parts can be separated for disposal or recycling. Mikado's covers are neither glued nor stapled allowing for the polyurethane foam to be easily separated from the seat cushion support and back shell.
