Think Furniture's Visit To The Stockholm Furniture & Lighting Fair 2016

This month saw the Think Furniture team head off to the bitterly cold and crisp climes of Stockholm for the 2016 furniture fair.

As was expected, there was a high level of emphasis on wooden themes this year, continuing with the current trend for a more residential feel within the workplace, including many variations of wooden cafe/dining style chairs and comfortable lounge chairs.
Below are just a small selection of some of the fine examples of wooden chairs on offer. From left to right we have;

Vitra Belleville Armchair, Muuto Fiber Chair, Cane-line Curve Chair, Normann Copenhagen Form Chair & Muuto Cover Chair.

As we walked through the venue we were astounded by all of the amazing looking displays, showcasing some excellent furniture pieces; some that we already sell and some that we are looking forward to working with in the near future!

Below is an excellent looking stand from Abstracta, a pioneer company in the field of acoustics that we work with here at Think, showcasing some of their acoustic wall/ceiling panels and workstations.

During our visit we had the chance to see manufacturers that we do not currently work with, however could introduce to our offerings in the near future. One of these was Swedish manufacturer 'Horreds' who showcased some interesting products.
Below is a picture of some Horreds furniture pieces that were on display at the fair, what really caught our eye here was the hanging hood over the table/chairs. This is a product called 'Pi' which doubles up as a sound-absorbing hanging hood and a room creating lamp, as it features a light on the inside.

We also saw familiar faces in the form of Vitra; they had a strong presence, showcasing the new 'Hack' system and a great selection of colourful All-star office chairs, with their sister company Artek showcasing just next door.
Below I have added a shot of the Vitra stand, not the most showcasing of photos but just enough to give you a flavour of what was there.
